In 2022 Ethereum switched to a proof-of-stake mechanism, stating it’s more secure, less energy-intensive, and better for new scaling solutions compared to proof-of-work. More recently, the SEC in America approved the launch of spot Ethereum ETFs, potentially paving the way for wider adoption and relative stability within the ever-evolving crypto landscape.
